Not a ‘Circle’, not in ‘Balance’

What do you want

What do you really, really want

No ifs, no buts and definitely no ‘hows’

Because there’s always a way – your Way

There’s a famous song, most people imagine or remember it sung by Frank Sinatra but the best ever rendition, in my opinion, was by the incomparable Sid Vicious.

Why Sid, why not one of the more conventional singers of this song

Because Sid created, deliberately, his Way – his personal lifestyle, his personal freedom.

He didn’t care what others thought. It was, albeit short, what HE wanted – HIS Way

Knowing what you want is where you start – the trick is to GET what you want

You and I need – if we’re really going to get what we want to operate our lives, according to a system.

Knowing what your Way is, and getting there represent the start and end points of what I call the Spiral of Life; because when we do ‘get there’ there’s always something else, another mountain to climb.

Our Way, what we want, inevitably changes

I don’t see it as a ‘circle’ of life or a ‘wheel’ – which to me would be something that stays the same; just goes round and round like some sort of ‘Groundhog’ day. The ‘wheel’ is just a snapshot.

I identify with four ‘domains’ of life.

Some people talk about 6 or 8 or 16 or 64 (or more) but in my opinion the extra ones are subdivisions – part of the ‘operating system’ of the Way

This spiral, the first/last of the four domains encompasses the beginning and the ‘end’ of each cycle of ‘wanting’ and ‘getting’.

It’s what creates and describes your ‘lifestyle’ and is always in a state of change – sound familiar?

But what about the other three?

Let’s think of them as ‘streams’ as they don’t exist ‘separately’ rather as ‘currents’ in a river, all being dependent on and part of each other.

They make up the ‘river of life’ or the Lifestream

They aren’t, and don’t need to be – as some people would have you believe – ‘balanced’

Sometimes we’ll focus heavily on one aspect, sometimes another. Balancing them out or giving each one equal attention will only distract or divert us from getting what we want.

From knowing what we want to getting want we want we have to do stuff in each of these three streams.

It takes about an hour to explain this fully. We have a whole course and masterclass on it in the Freedom Academy.

Please bear with me now as I give you a brief outline.

First, there’s ‘YOU’ everything that’s just you and nothing else – health, fitness, nutrition, belief, knowledge, skills, experience and learning.

We have to work on and with them all – all the time

Then there’s everything which is ‘NOT YOU’.

Everything from the Universe and the Planet to your one-to-one relationships, and how you see yourself in relation to others from a personal, working, societal, business or professional perspective.

Finally, there’s what you actually DO. How you use your life, the actions you take during the day.

Every day – whether it’s being at work, running a business, creating art or music or writing, doing a ‘hobby’, playing a part in a team of any sort, watching TV or just sitting on a beach

Putting all this together isn’t always easy as often one current gets in the way or diverts another.

You and I have to make decisions – quite frequently, about what to focus on when – IF we want to GET what we want.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it – and you will if you really want to get what you want, is to integrate all this and figure out HOW to move in the direction of where you want to go.

I can help you with all this – it’s part of what I do to get where I want to go, to be do and have what I want.

All you need to do is ask me how.
