Resistance Is Useless!

Resistance is Useless!

Shouted the Vogon guards in ‘Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ and in the circumstances, they were quite right; but it’s often true in many other situations, not all, but most.

You and I can and will resist ‘what is going on’ in the world or in local society when we think it adversely affects us personally in some way or other, but this isn’t what concerns me now.

The other day I had the privilege of listening in a workshop to Glen McCoy and during his talk I had one of those ‘light bulb’ moments. Glen was talking about belief and how what we deeply and internally believe will shape exactly how our life works out.

Napoleon Hill said “Whatever a man can conceive and believe, he can achieve”.

Henry Ford said “If you believe you can or believe you can’t, you’re right.”

The thing Glen brought home to me and which my friend, 5th Dimensional Healer, Kathy Maslowski reinforced was that in not believing in my self I am resisting the beliefs I have about my future – who I am and what I am capable of – resisting who I am and who I think I am, who I want to be and what I want to do and have.

I ‘resist’ because that’s what we’ve been ‘brought up’ to do – brought up to believe we ‘can’t’ be do or have whatever is our desire. How many times were you told “You can’t do that” or “You’ll never be able to do that”?

Resistance it useless – it has no use. If we’re doing it, which most of us are, we have to learn how to ‘stop it’ or we’ll be “buried alive in a box” – an obscure reference to a Bob Newhart sketch (look it up in the Freedom Academy).

Resisting our true beliefs or ‘redefining’ them to ‘fit in’ with the ‘I can’t do that’ or ‘I’m not good enough’ paradigm is a road to nowhere.

Believe in yourself, what you really, really, want to be, do and have and cut out the resistance now.

Resistance is useless.
